Raritan's SwitchMan USB allows control of up to 4 USB computers from a single USB keyboard, video and mouse (KVM) console. SwitchMans built-in USB hub allows multiple computers to share USB supported devices such as scanners, digital cameras, printers, CD ROMs and PDAs. Its audio capability lets you share a single microphone and stereo speakers regardless of which computer you connect to.

SwitchMans small footprint saves valuable desk space and color-coded connectors and premium cables make installation easy. There is no complicated setup or software to load, just plug in a standard USB keyboard, USB mouse and VGA monitor and you are up and running. SwitchMan USB supports both PCs and/or Apple Macs®, with connectivity via Raritan's premium KVM cables for the highest video and audio quality.

SwitchMan USB is available in 2 and 4 port models and can be mounted horizontally or vertically on your desktop. SwitchMan USB has the same bulletproof reliability as the Raritan enterprise-class products used in over 50,000 data centers worldwide.

    What is SwitchMan USB?
    SwitchMan USB is a new KVM switch that provides control from a single USB console of up to 4 USB computers and/or multiple USB devices such as: printers, scanners, digital cameras and PDAs. Users can dynamically and independently switch among connected computers and USB devices. SwitchMan USB also supports audio capability so users can share and switch microphones and speakers.


    How is SwitchMan USB unique?
    SwitchMan USB is one of the few USB KVM switches available that includes USB 2.0 support along with a USB hub and audio switching capabilities.


    Which models of SwitchMan USB are available?
    SwitchMan USB is available in two models: (1) a 2-port model called SW2-USB and (2) a four-port model called SW4-USB. Each model is shipped with two cables.


    Does SwitchMan USB support Sun® USB and MAC® computers?
    SwitchMan USB supports Mac Computers but not Sun computers. (Note: MAC Multimedia kb is not supported.)


    Do I need any special software to operate SwitchMan USB?
    No. SwitchMan USB provides true plug and play installation and operation with no software to install or configure.


    Is customer support available for SwitchMan USB?
    Yes. The same comprehensive Raritan customer support provided for all Raritan's products is available for SwitchMan USB.


    Can users make changes to computer BIOS settings with the SwitchMan USB?
    Yes, because the SwitchMan USB connects directly to each computer's keyboard, video and mouse ports, all changes to BIOS settings can be made as if you were using the computer's local keyboard, video and mouse.
