Position: Technical Consultant

The main requirement in this role is to provide provide pre and post sales technical support for DSI's customers, and the various solutions we deliver. This will include attending customer meetings and carrying out installations and upgrades both in house at DSI and on customer sites.
Core Resonsibilities
- Onsite installations of solutions provided by DSI
- Install and configure various software applications
- Provide basic customer training on our solutions
- Produce technical and handover documentation
- Attend meetings at customers sites
- Provide internal support to the DSI sales team
- Prepare demonstrations for customer meetings, seminars and trade shows
Requirements
- Minimum 1 years experience of installing, configuring and administering the Solaris OS
- Experience in setting up Sun's Sun Ray thin client technology would be an advantage
- Knowledge of Veritas (Symantec) Foundation Suite and Netbackup
- Knowledge of VMware and virtualisation
